D.O. Candidate (2022-2026)
I started working toward my DO degree in August, 2022. In my time at LMU-DCOM, I have had the opportunity to become fully immersed in the curriculum consisting of pre-clinical science courses as well as clinical skills learned with the help of standardized patients. I was recently chosen to serve at the first year liaison for the American Medical Association at LMU-DCOM Knoxville.
University of Virginia- Charlottesville, VA
B.A.-Biology, Minor in Religious Studies
I completed a curriculum that fulfilled the requirements of the BA in Biology and minor in Religious Studies as well as incorporated the necessary pre-requisites in order to enter into a health professional program. I designed this curriculum with an emphasis on health related courses, including Medical Anthropology, Medical Sociology, Spanish for Health Care Professionals and an English writing course which explored the ways in which being ill becomes an identity. These courses serve to improve my ability to relate to my current as well as future patients and allow me to better empathize with their individual illness experience.
